Abstract
Introduction/aims: Timely management of orbital fractures with functional disturbance or significant radiological injury is best achieved through MDT approach; maxillofacial, orthoptics and ophthalmology. Orthoptics provides clinical baseline assessment and (if warranted) formal appraisal of functional deficit informing decision making and postoperative diplopia assessment. No national guideline exists for timing of orthoptic assessments. We evaluated whether our patient had appropriate and consistent orthoptics and formulated a standardised review protocol.
