Abstract
The management of the maxillary permanent central incisor (MPCI) space because of acquired loss or, more rarely, developmental absence can pose both restorative and orthodontic challenges. Orthodontic space closure combined with restorative camouflage is a viable alternative approach to prosthetic replacement of the MPCI, particularly in patients presenting with an increased overjet or maxillary arch crowding. CPD/Clinical Relevance: Management of a maxillary permanent central incisor space using orthodontic space closure is useful information for the clinician.
