Donor-derived membranous nephropathy

Abstract

Membranous nephropathy (MN) is the most common cause of primary glomerulonephritis in adults. Recurrent MN and de novo MN in kidney transplants are well described in the literature, but only a few cases of donor-derived MN have been described. We discuss two cases who received kidneys from the same donor with MN identified on the implantation biopsy.
