Abstract

Accurate quantification of actinic keratosis (AK) is important to identify patients at high risk for keratinocyte carcinoma (KC). AK counts and the Actinic Keratosis Area and Severity Index have demonstrated low interrater reliability, validity, or are cumbersome to use. The Field Cancerization Severity Tool (FAST) was developed to identify patients at high risk for KC and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC).
